We have received a surge of requests recently from owners who want to surrender their pets to us. These pets are being cleared out of their homes just like old furniture, because the owners do not have time for them anymore.
We, at SSPCA animals shelter, are running at 250% of our capacity. We are not able to take in anymore animals. :-
If you do need to find a new home for your pet, you’ll want to advertise as widely as you can, in as many places as possible. Here’s some tips for you:-
1) Describe the appearance, size, and age of the animal, include your pet’s name.
2) A good photograph of the pet.
3) If the pet is spayed or neutered, and vaccinated against rabies, include these information.
4) Describe his/her nature and appealing qualities.
5) Define any limitations the pet might have (e.g., not good with cats or small children).
6) Don’t forget your phone number and the times you can be reached.
Please do not abandon your pet on the streets. We hope you will be able to help promote the message of responsible pet ownership, and spread awareness about pet abandonment issues.
