深夜收到讯息，小狗狗口吐白沫，倒在路旁奄奄一息，爱心哥哥想帮忙却因没有经验而被咬。

好在负责人刚好在附近办事，赶过去后绕了几圈都没有发现任何的小狗。正想放弃时，却突然看到好似有具猫尸在路旁，心想下车带它回去安葬。

仔细一看，天啊，是狗狗，原来它还这么的小！照片上看一直都以为是只四个月大小狗。暴瘦到像张纸片，像破布娃娃一样缩在路边，还差点被电单车撞上，抱起来软绵绵、一点重量也没有，让人心碎满地

紧急联系兽医后马上挂夜诊。严重脱水、低温，又吐水又泻肚子、意识不怎么清醒了，医生马上吊点滴

治疗中，竟然还看到他试着摇尾巴，似乎在向我们道谢 …

当下决定立刻帮他取名字 – Bejoy，多希望他撑下来，撑下来就有幸福了

隔天兽医传来简讯 : 一早开门的时候看到Bejoy已经僵硬、过世了 … 安息吧，孩子

至少你接下来去的地方，应该会比这边温暖吧

冷冰冰的社会，造就多少生命悲剧。

接下来的日子，我们知道还会遇见数不清的Bejoy … 要怎样在最短的时间减少最多的悲剧，是我们每天都在思考的事，但这不应该只是我们的功课，而是整个社会、每个你我他的功课

Poor little boy, he was falling into a coma but still tried to wag his tail, trying to thank us.. It is so heart breaking to see such an obedient kid behaving like this, what have you gone through?

But he is not suffering anymore now, as he is now an angel in heaven…

There will never be the worst circumstances for these stray furkids, there will be only worse.

We received a message in the middle of the night, saying that there was a puppy was spitting foam, lying down on the roadside. A kind hearted man wanted to help but was bitten by the puppy because he had no experience.

Fortunately, our person in charge just happened to be working nearby. After going a few rounds along that area, she didn’t manage to find the puppy. When she was about to give up, she suddenly saw that there was a cat carcass on the roadside, so she thought off bringing the carcass home to bury it.

However when she took a closer look, oh God, it’s actually the puppy, it’s still so small! She thought the puppy should be about 4 months old as the photo seems like it. Poor baby was lying on the roadside just like a rag, broken doll, and it was almost hit by a motorcycle. It was so soft and weightless, and it was truly heartbreaking.

We immediately contacted the veterinarian and to get him treated that night. Severe dehydration, hypothermia, vomiting fluid and diarrhea, partially losing his consciousness. The doctor immediately started him on drips. During the treatment, we even saw that he tried to wag his tail like he was trying to thank us…

We decided to name him right away – Bejoy, We hoped he will pull it through will be joy in future.

The veterinarian sent us a message the next day : The moment when the door was open early in the morning, Bejoy’s body was already stiffen and passed away. Rest in peace, dear kid.

At least the place you are going next should be much warmer compared to when you were here.

The cold-hearted society has created many life tragedies.

In the days to come, we know that we will meet countless Bejoy… How to reduce these countless tragedies in the shortest time is what we think about every day, but this should not be just our work. It should be the work of the whole Society, every one including you and me.

Hope more of you would offer warm and hope to the homeless furkids.

Homeless & Orphan Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter that aims to improve welfare of strays and abandoned pets around Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
