Its soulful eyes. Its patience – seemingly waiting at the same spot every day for its owner’s return.

Road users said the dog, a female mongrel, was left under the the 3months ago. And it waited at the same spot, day and night, under hot sun and in the pouring rain, for its owner to return.

It would not budge. It just sat there, waiting. On meal times, she made her way to the kopitiam (coffee shop) accross the street. The staff of kopitiam would feed her some food, yet the could not touch/pat her.

Efforts to make friends with the canine, and to lure it to safety, were often met with wary stares.

Dear Owner,

It you’re reading this, please bring the dog back. She is still waiting for you at the place you left her; under the tree.
