Hope For Coral Reefs

The reefs of Manado, Indonesia, are beautiful & support families & communities — they could also be a key to saving coral reefs worldwide. With support from Microsoft co-founder and philantropist Paul G. Allen, our science partners from The University of Queensland – UQ are using scooter-mounted 360-degree cameras to resurvey reefs after a global bleaching event wiped out a large number of the world’s shallow-water corals. Reefs made healthier from conservation action could help revive others, sparking hope for the future of the oceans
