“Working with WWF-Malaysia has allowed me to experience quite a number of interesting and dangerous situations. I’ve come face to face with a juvenile elephant while having lunch alone at base camp, escaped falling branches, and outrun a family of elephants while I was en route to retrieve camera-traps.
In most of these situations, there is very little time to think; so we do what we can – act as fast as possible! My job tends to always keep me on my toes and is evidently quite exciting, don’t you think?”– Christopher Wong Chai Thiam, Senior Wildlife Monitoring Officer. Photo: @WWF-Malaysia/Azahari
