Did you know that green iguanas have very long powerful tail (about half of their body length)?! They can detach their tails if caught by a predator and will grow another without permanent damage. Unfortunately, this trick wouldn�t save their lives if caught by humans. Therefore, they are often smuggled/sold or bred in captivity in horrendous conditions to be sold as pets.
