It has come to our attention that some of you who have lost your pets and posted about it on Facebook may have gotten a call from a man claiming to have seen it or picked it up.

This man may have refused to provide photographic proof that he has the animal, and may have made some threats on you or your pet should you refuse to pay him for your pet’s safe return. He may have asked you to bank in the money into a certain bank account number and asked you to meet him in Sekama with the bank slip.

We understand that you are worried about your missing pet but if a party claiming to have it cannot provide photos, then they might not be telling the truth.

Please help us put a stop to this so it won’t happen to other pet parents. We also advise you to make a police report ASAP.
