JUVENILE SQUIRREL ENJOYING SOME FALLEN FLOWERS
Not only do we rescue wild animals, but certain areas at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC) also provide a haven for native wildlife.
We recently spotted a juvenile squirrel enjoying some fallen flowers from our banana plants. We had to maintain some distance so as to not frighten her away, but we managed to capture this short video clip.
At our premises, we grow numerous banana plants, but we hardly ever get to harvest the fruits for the rescued animals in our care as the resident animals, including fruit bats, squirrels and a variety of birds such as orioles and even hornbills, usually feed on them first!
