WHAT WOULD YOU DO DURING YOUR LONG LEAVE?

During May, we were fortunate to have Angeline volunteering with us. Angeline is currently on a sabbatical leave, and using her time to help animals in various ways and in different countries.

Angeline volunteered with us for 3 weeks. She volunteered at the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand for a week before joining us, before setting off to for a sea turtle conservation project in Malaysia. Angeline will be spending a total of 3 months giving her time and efforts to various animal welfare organisations around Southeast Asia!

She shared with us: �Initially, I wanted to go Africa or further to experience the work at an animal sanctuary. Then I realized that we have so many animal welfare organisations in our region that need our support. So why should I go so far when I can contribute my effort in our backyard?�

Well said, Angeline! On behalf of all the local charity organisations in Singapore, and the various furred, feathered and scaled friends, ACRES would like to extend a sincere Thank You to Angeline for her enthusiasm and passion in helping the animals in need.
