COLA UPDATE: THE PUP WHO HAD HIS PAWS BRUTALLY CHOPPED OFF

We recently brought you the horrific story of 9 month old Cola, who had his front paws chopped off with a sword for having chewed a neighbour’s shoes. Despite Cola’s owner paying for the damage, her neighbour entered her property and attacked the dog, severing his legs with a sword.

Without the people like you who make up our Emergency Response Team, we would be powerless to help Cola. Please go to http://ert.soidog.org/ to join this life-saving team now, so that suffering animals can continue to get the care they need!

The man who carried out this despicable act of cruelty is now facing charges under the Animal Welfare Act. The verdict and sentencing are due on June 7th.

Cola meanwhile, is being cared for at a specialist clinic in Bangkok, with Soi Dog Foundation covering the costs. Once he has recovered sufficiently, he will be assessed for prosthetics. We are in discussions with the owner with regard to Cola coming to our shelter once fully recovered, from where we will seek a safer home for him.

The priority now however is Cola’s recovery and progress in the immediate future.

We would not be in any position to assist dogs like Cola were it not for the members of our Emergency Response Team. These are people just like YOU, all around the world, who take action every day for the suffering animals of Thailand.

Will you please go to http://ert.soidog.org/ to join the Emergency Response Team ensuring more dogs like Cola get the help they need?
