Is Indy�.stuck?

Everyone loves the new shelf – this shelf is the best and most successful project we have ever undertaken!

I’ve seen everyone taking turns to enjoy this shelf except Cleo and Bunny. Of course, Bunny is way too lazy to climb so far up. Cleo is probably being cautious, as usual. Even Pole has been up on the shelf.

Tabs and Cow (yes, what an unlikely combo!) take turns to nap on this shelf while Indy does too, but also uses it as a springboard to get up to his ledge for his sentry duty.

This morning, we had a bit of a problem…Indy had already got up to his ledge, then Tabs decided to take a nap on the shelf.

You’re kind of stuck, aren’t you, Indy?

I’ll help Indy….

What we think Cleo is saying: Please, someone, help Indy!
What Cleo is actually saying: Can someone please give me some food? 

Cleo is extremely kiasu. She has this habit of eating her food halfway, then abandoning it to rush to the scratching post to scratch (it’s a game for them – first to the scratching post is the winner of the day) and then, to the sandpit to do her business – also another game of who gets to use the toilet first. Then, she puts on this nonchalant look and walks about the garden, pretending to be totally uninterested in the rest of her food, which by then, would have already been gobbled up by Bunny, usually.

But Cleo eats very, very little (on the contrary, Pole eats a lot!), so we are not really worried about her eating only half her portion each time.

Hey wait, Cleo is looking at Indy, so maybe she is asking for help on behalf of the Spider-Cat?

And I’m all ready with my camera, and aching arms, all well-positioned to catch the descent of the Spider-Cat, when…

….he ceremoniously “flew” down, by using the corner of the shelf as a springboard, without disturbing or alarming Tabs at all.

My fingers just weren’t fast enough….

*Applause* to yet another amazing feat from the Spider-Cat!!!

And he makes his exit from the stage.

Notice that even Pole is impressed, from her condo.

*Curtains fall*

Indy: Springboard?? Who needs a springboard? Hmmmph!!
