Rescued from the barbaric dog meat trade but where to now?

They snatched me from the street. They crushed me into a metal cage with ten other dogs. They hurled hundreds of these cages, all filled with petrified dogs, on to a big truck. We drove in the dead of night towards the border.

It hurt being in the metal cage with other dogs. Where were these people taking me? Why were there so many of us? I could hear the younger dogs crying with fear as we travelled through the night, the older dogs unable to cope with the stress and heat during the day. Many died as we drove towards the border � with what lay ahead for us, they were the lucky ones.

It is only thanks to people like you that Soi Dog and the police could stop the truck carrying us and rescue us all. Now I am in a shelter with over 1,000 other survivors and I long for a home of my own.

I am friendly, inquisitive and playful. I would love long walks and a family to love me. I see many dogs leaving for their new homes and I hope this will happen for me soon. I really do.
