Singapore has strong laws which aim to protect animals from the illegal wildlife trade and abuse. But few animals benefit from the protection of her laws because they cannot – by themselves � testify or gather evidence for prosecution.

The ACRES� Animal Crime Investigation Unit (ACIU) seeks to be their eyes and ears. By investigating crimes against animals, we give them a fighting chance to attain justice and a better life. Increased prosecution also brings about deterrence, which shields countless animals from future trafficking and abuse.

Animals – voiceless and vulnerable – need us to champion their cause, and to afford them the protection of the very laws we enacted for their benefit.
