White-Bellied Sea Eagle Rescue And Release

NATIVE WILDLIFE RESCUE ROUNDUP: 4 DECEMBER 2015
Last month (November), our wildlife rescue team received a call about an eagle in distress. The white-bellied sea eagle had crash landed into a canal area, and he was being pounded by a heavy flow of gushing water. Luckily, a group of teenage boys came to his aid and helped to pull him to safety. They managed to keep the eagle warm and calm by placing a shirt over him. A concerned passer-by called us for help.
The white-bellied sea eagle was not injured, but was very weak and in shock. He was brought to the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre and given warmth, food and fluids. Would he gain enough strength to be able to fly away back to the wild? Watch and find out!
