This is the kind of thing that can happen when you are a street dog with nobody to care for you. My name is Indira; my suffering has been immense.

A large wound on my back was severely infected and infested with maggots when I was found. The pain I was in was unbearable but I could do nothing. There was nobody to help me. I was at serious risk of septicaemia from the infection that had set in, followed by a slow and painful death.

Nobody will ever know what happened to me, but the vets at the Soi Dog shelter are caring for me now. The wound has been cleaned out and the rotting tissue removed. I am on antibiotics for the infection and medication to manage my pain. This is all thanks to people like you.

I am just one of so many street dogs that need you. There is simply nobody else to turn to when we are sick or injured. Soi Dog wants to help us all but simply can�t do it without you. No amount is too small to make a difference; your donation will go so much further in Thailand.

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals. Soi Dog also has a treatment facility in Bangkok and responds to crisis situations throughout Thailand.
