Found, fostered, adopted: CINDER & ASH

Cinder and Ash, a pair of female, local, tortoiseshell-coloured siblings, were brought to our shelter, on 17 June 2015, shortly after being found (possibly abandoned, with some food and a bag), at Tampines Street 33. Both were merely about a month old then, and a little too young to be placed for adoption.

A kind fosterer, Ms Tammie Caldwell, unhesitatingly offered to help care for both siblings during their initial months. She gave the kittens a warm and nurturing home environment to prepare them for their adoptive home. About a month and a half later, she returned both, looking fine and very healthy, post-fostering and ready to be given a good, permanent home.

It is most heart-warming to see both sisters get adopted together into the same family, in mid-August, not long after they were placed for adoption.

The SPCA thanks Ms Caldwell and also the kittens’ adoptive parents for having joined them both on their life journey thus far, and finding them their friends for life!

Keen to help the SPCA foster suitable animals? Fostering an animal, as Ms Caldwell has done, can be a wonderful bonding experience for you and your family. The rewards are intangible, as you would be actually saving a life and making a difference. By helping to foster animals until space becomes available in our shelter and the animals become older and better able to cope with kennel life, you are helping us save more lives.

Come join our Foster Care Programme, if you are keen, committed and ready:
