Become An Angel For Dogs Like Jintana

JINTANA IS OUT OF PAIN BUT DOGS LIKE HER STILL NEED A DEDICATED HOSPITAL

I am a young girl called Jintana, only about a year old – do you remember me? I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter because a nice lady who always fed me at the local temple saw that I was ill and contacted the people here.

It’s true I was very sick when I arrived. I had chronic diarrhoea and was so skinny, but the worst thing for me was the terrible problems I was having with my front left leg. I heard the vets say that it was caused by an old, untreated fracture that had never healed and meant I really struggled to use that leg.

The vets first put me on treatment for the diarrhoea and gave me fluids to keep me hydrated. They discovered I had a problem with an overgrowth of bacteria in my tummy, which was the reason I was so skinny.

Once I had recovered from those problems, they told me it was sadly too late to save my leg and that they would have to remove it. This sounds like a scary thing but they made sure I was asleep when they did this so I felt no pain.

I am recovering well now from that surgery and managing just fine with only three legs. I am so much happier now I am no longer struggling with the one that didn’t work anymore.

I am still here in Soi Dog’s small clinic while the vets hope that one day the new dog hospital can be finished. It sounds like it will be a wonderful place for sick and injured dogs like me and the vets say so many more dogs can be helped if it becomes a reality.

To make this happen, I really need your help. Will you become an Angel for Dogs today and play a part in finishing this much-needed building? Your donation will be used to help finish the building work and equip the dog hospital with everything it needs to help dogs like me.

Please help make this happen; the lives of so many dogs are depending on it. Please just click on my picture to find out more.

The dogs of Thailand urgently need your help. Soi Dog’s vet clinic is far too small for the number of neglected, injured and abused dogs it cares for and dogs are suffering and dying as a result. Please donate about a dollar a day to help them.
