HIT BY A CAR AND LEFT FOR DEAD, I AM NEARLY 10 YEARS OLD AND BLIND. YOU SAVED ME�

I have lived on the streets of Thailand my whole life. Those streets were the only home I�d ever known. I am now an old girl, nearly 10 years of age. They call me Ketgarnok.

As a street dog, life is tough. You have to fight to survive with every passing day, hunting through trash for leftover food, grabbing the occasional treat from a kind stranger�s hand, competing with other dogs just to survive another day.

All of this is bad enough, but so much harder when you are blind. I will never forget the day I was hit by the speeding car and flung to the side of the road. I was in unbearable agony and couldn�t move. With nobody to help me, I simply waited to die.

But I didn�t die that day. I don�t know how long I�d been lying there when a kind person spotted me and ran to call Soi Dog. Shortly after that, I ended up at the shelter and in the care of Dr. Eugene. He told me that thanks to Soi Dog supporters around the world, I could be helped.

Because of people like you, I am a different dog today. Fully healed of my injuries thanks to the supporters who funded my treatment, I now live in the OAP run here at Soi Dog Foundation. Just when I thought it was all over for me, I have been given a second chance at life.

I am one of the lucky ones for I will never have to fight to survive again. I have all the love, food, shelter and medical care I need while I wait for the forever home I long for. But what of the others?
