ANOTHER DOG SAVED, JUST MINUTES FROM SLAUGHTER, BECAUSE PEOPLE LIKE YOU TOOK ACTION

Your billboards are SAVING LIVES.

At 6pm on June 2nd, our undercover investigators, acting on a tip-off, visited a suspected dog slaughterhouse. They were accompanied by a plain-clothes police officer and two back-up officers in uniform, who remained hidden outside the property.

The premises were located in Nongkai, in north-eastern Thailand, very close to the border with Laos and beyond it, Vietnam.

Upon entering the building, our investigators were met by the suspected dog butcher and a single live dog that was imprisoned in a tiny cage.

The plain-clothes officer pretended to express interest in having the dog slaughtered for consumption, at which point the butcher began to boast that as well as that dog, he could get his hands on more dogs if the officer so wished.

As soon as this sickening confession was made, the uniformed police officers rushed through the door and pounced. Immediately, the butcher tried to change tack, claiming he was not being serious.

Grabbing a collar and placing it around the dogs neck, he attempted to persuade the officers that the dog was his pet.

Too late for him, he was immediately arrested and the imprisoned dog, now named Boonlai, was set free by the plain-clothes officer.

Further questioning from our undercover investigators confirmed that this slaughterhouse was stealing dogs to fulfil orders from nearby Vietnam. Following slaughter, the dogs would be illegally exported through Laos and from there to Vietnam, where demand for dog meat remains high.

Boonlai has now been taken into care and is the luckiest dog in Thailand today. None of this would be possible without people like YOU.

For those who have funded billboards that offer rewards for tip-offs on dog meat trade activity, THIS is what happens. Another dog saved, minutes from being tortured, then brutally slaughtered.

Together, we continue to make progress and together, we WILL end this.
