My name is Vineyard. Please ADOPT me!
Please e-mail alex@soidog.org to adopt me.
I am 5 and a half years old. I have not lived at the shelter for very long but came here because I was found one day, starving and dehydrated. I was in such a poor state. On closer inspection my teeth and gums were found to be in a terrible way. The vets here had no choice but to remove all my teeth but sadly I still suffer with chronic inflammation of the mouth. They saved my life though and for that I am grateful.
There was more bad news to follow however, as my blood test revealed I had FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.) This explained my poorly teeth, as inflammation of the gums is common in cats like me. The main way my disease spreads is through bite wounds, but as I am not much of a fighter (and my teeth have been removed) this should not be cause for concern. To err on the side of caution though, I may be better suited to a home with no other cats.
I am a very pretty girl. I have a cream coat, with flecks of beige and brown. My most striking feature though I have been told, are my eyes. They are bright blue and piercing. (Just take a look at my photographs!)
I am terribly affectionate and love to be made a fuss of by the people here at the shelter. I love cuddles and strokes. As nice as it is to receive visitors here, I would so love a home of my own now. A home where I have a nice comfy bed to sleep on and my new family can give me lots of attention and make a big fuss of me. That would be nice.
Are you the family for me? If you are then please get in touch with alex@soidog.org to find out what to do next.
