TASSA UPDATE: FINALLY, THIS BEAUTIFUL GIRL HAS TURNED A CORNER

We were alerted to Tassas plight by a frantic phone call from a Thai lady. She had found a stray dog on a local beach, looking shockingly emaciated. However, when she tried to approach her, Tassa took off in terror.

Animal Rescue Officer Khun Nok was immediately dispatched, but Tassa was so frightened, she had to be darted in order for him to catch her. On arrival at our shelter, she was so skinny our vets feared it was too late.

Tassa had a fishhook caught in her mouth. No doubt, she had found a dead fish on the beach and her attempts to eat it had led to this. Based on her shocking body condition, we estimate she hadnt eaten for about 3 weeks.

There is nobody but YOU to help these dogs in situations like this. There is no government funding, no support from anywhere else. It is only YOU and the miracles you can accomplish with just a few dollars a week. Will you please CLICK THIS LINK to help? http://bit.ly/Angels_For_Tassa

Although the fishhook was successfully removed while she was still under anaesthetic, Tassas life still hung in the balance. There was a high risk of her developing re-feeding syndrome, a potentially fatal condition. To avoid this, we began reintroducing small bits of food very gradually.

Many of you have been following this beautiful girls story and have asked for another update. We are so pleased to report that she is now eating three times a day and slowly getting her strength back. We are finally hopeful that thanks to YOU, she will make a full recovery.

Tassas story is a miracle that would never have happened without people like you. Our supporters are the only reason Tassa is alive today. Without them, she would have no hope.

As you read this, many other suffering dogs need you. We can only help them with your support. If you do just one thing today, please CLICK THIS LINK to help us save them: http://bit.ly/Angels_For_Tassa
