Found, fostered, adopted:

MERLIN, the kitty

Merlin was found underneath a lorry at the SPCAs new premises construction site on 10 January 2015. Following veterinary checks at the SPCA clinic, he was still a little too young for a permanent home, as he was only three weeks old then.

We contacted Ms Kuljeet Rayat, who kindly offered to foster him at her home. Kuljeet fostered him for close to a month and a half, before returning him to SPCA for adoption. In her care, Merlin made great progress. We thank Kuljeet for having dedicated her time and efforts to nurturing the kitten at its formative stage of development, and getting him ready for his eventual forever home.

Merlin found his adoptive family not long after, in early March 2015. What a Happy Ending!

Fostering an animal can be a wonderful bonding experience for you and your family. The rewards are intangible, as you would be actually saving a life and making a difference. By helping to foster animals until space becomes available in our shelter and the animals become older and better able to cope with kennel life, you are helping us save more lives.

Do refer to this page to find out more: http://www.spca.org.sg/helpus_fosterparent.asp

If you’re at least 18 years, and are ready to be a foster parent, come join us on our Foster Care programme! You would be nurturing a life in its most formative years of development!
