KEEP THEM WILD AND FREE: HELP US WIPE OUT WILDLIFE CRIME

Remember this severely emaciated black-tufted marmoset who was abandoned in Marine Crescent last year?

Black-tufted marmosets are tree-dwellers, residing primarily in the Brazilian rainforests. They live in close-knit family units, with parents and older siblings raising young ones together.

This abandoned marmoset was likely sold into the exotic pet trade at a young age. They took away her family support, so essential to this species psyche. An improper diet and lack of sunlight later caused the onset of a debilitating metabolic bone disease, which left her grotesquely deformed and crippled until her death.

Help stop the illegal pet trade. Save thousands of wild animals like her.

The selling and keeping of wild animals is a crime in Singapore. Report the illicit sale and keeping of wild animals to ACRES by calling our Wildlife Crime Hotline at 97837782, or sending an e-mail to info@acres.org.sg.
