RESCUING CATS FROM ARCTIC COLD TODAY

It’s the Coldest Race on Earth

We’re in the middle of what feels like the coldest race on earth, a sprint to save as many street animals as we can from the extreme cold weather. We thought tonight you’d like to meet one of them. .

“She was standing outside a store, all alone,” rescuer Edina Pasic explains from Sarajevo. “She was shivering cold. No one noticed her. She was surrounded by mud, frost and snow. People ignored her. I went out of the car to feed her and check on her, and as I got closer, I noticed that she couldn`t stand on one of her legs. I ran over to her and saw that something had crushed her paw once, she didn`t have any toes. It may be an old wound, or maybe not because the winters here are very cold.”

“I can`t describe how happy she was when I took her in my arms,” Edina continues. “She didn`t resist, just kept kissing my hand and purring. She showed me she was grateful.”
