SPCA is sorry to learn of the passing of the ex-owner of POPPY and MAO MAO, after her long battle with her terminal illness.
All of us in the Management and Staff offer our condolences to her family, even as we thank the kind, committed new owners of POPPY and MAO MAO for having given both senior dogs another chance at having a loving home.
(N.B. We first posted here on 12 November, about 2 months ago, seeking new adopters for both Poppy and Mao Mao, in view of their then-owners terminal illness; We followed with a 5 December post that both dogs have been re-homed (and also on 23 December that Mao Mao, a 15-year-wise Schnauzer, has regained her ability to walk.))
Hi, everyone. We are posting this on behalf of the owners of POPPY and MAO MAO who are looking to rehome them. Unfortunately, their owner is terminally ill and her family is focused on caring for her. They are no longer able to provide for the dogs.
Poppy is a female Shih-Tsu, blind but mobile and unsterilised. Mao Mao is a female schnauzer who is partially blind, sterilised and has some difficulty moving as all her legs are weak. Both dogs are 15 years wise. They mix well together, have pleasant personalities and are good with adults and children.
Were hoping that you will help share this post, and for someone who will be able to take in Poppy and Mao Mao and give them a home until their final years. If you are interested in adopting the dogs, please contact 62875355 (ext.9) and ask to speak to Corinne. A visit can be arranged to see the dogs. (The dogs are in the present owner’s home.)
