No More Cash Donations To Our Fund

Dear Friends,
My platelet count is back up but blood pressure is still low, so plenty of rest is still in order for recovery. Thank you very much for all your kind wishes and support.
Thank you, too, for alerting me to the fact that I cannot be running AnimalCare at this pace as it is only a matter of time when I will burn out or worse…your reminder is most timely and highly appreciated. It is a “bonk on the head” which I badly needed and I am grateful for that.
As explained in the previous post, I was already contemplating cutting down on the operations on AnimalCare and now seems a good time to do it. We have already cut down on the merchandising; but we are obligated to produce a last tshirt since the design had already been prepared for us. The tshirt has already been printed and will be out soon. It comes in a limited edition of only 140 pieces so we hope you will support us one last time by purchasing it for your family and friends as souvenirs from AnimalCare before we close the Fund.
With immediate effect too, we will stop accepting cash donations to our Fund. Over the five-and-a-half years, we have fundraised enough and our reserves will tide us over the next few months in the payment of subsidies. We will use our reserves until the funds are depleted over time or until such a time when we close it (and the balance of the funds donated to animal charities). We thank all regular donors for their generosity and trust over the years. We are very grateful.
All applicants are still welcome to apply for our subsidies as per policy. Everything will go on as per normal for now.
