Sanctuary Revamp This Past Sunday And We Need More Volunteers!

The Sanctuary Revamp continues and volunteers turned up to help out through the sweltering heat to help us . We continued to construct the new brick wall for the enclosures and planted more plants/shrubs to provide shade to the animals. We also revamped Peanut(Red-footed tortoise’s) enclosure. We spread the plants in his enclosure and constructed a new concrete pond for him to soak in. The concrete pond which was done up by the volunteers also had a pipe and valve installed to make water changes easy. Peanut has to wait though as we are currently waiting for the concrete to fully cure and settle down. We are doing PH water test and will wait till the PH values become neutral. However, we are not done yet. We still require the help of you guys…so please email us at volunteer@acres.org.sg to help us out again this Sunday(28th September). See you guys.
