Suffering Wandor Saved By The Kindness Of Strangers

Hello, my name is Wandor and I am a young boy of about 4 years of age. You might remember me, but if we haven’t met yet, you can read my original story here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.697818020259936.1073742848.108625789179165&type=1

I came to Soi Dog from the nearby area of Nai Yang. I appeared at a beach resort there and the staff were very worried when they saw me. I had a swollen belly and wounds all over my tail, legs and paws. I was in a lot of pain and very scared about what was going to happen to me. The staff at the beach resort immediately called Soi Dog.

Animal Rescue Officer Khun Jaroon came to get me and took me to the shelter. The nice vets examined me and said I might have been hit by a car. They said one of the toes on my back paw was fractured and I had ulcers on my legs and a bruised scrotum. They also said I had mild anaemia, which meant I was feeling quite weak and didn’t have the strength to get better without help.

The vets treated my wounds and put me on some medication so the infection would go away and the pain would stop. They also treated my anaemia. They cleaned and dressed my wounds every day and before long, I started to feel better. They are looking after me very well here at Soi Dog and I have a great appetite! I also like to get cuddles as often as possible.

I know I wouldn’t be here without the Emergency Response Team. Soi Dog would never be able to treat all the dogs and cats of Phuket without their help. The team is made up of animal lovers like you, all over the world, but sadly there are not enough. If you want to save the lives of the street dogs and cats, please visit https://www.soidog.org/en/ert/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=FBO_wandor2&utm_campaign=ert to sign up today.
