Baby Oswald Being Nursed Back To Health

Meet Oswald, a little boy of just 14 weeks. His owner contacted Soi Dog when he noticed that Oswald was urinating blood. He was picked up by Animal Rescue Officer Khun Jaroon and brought to Soi Dog for examination. Oswald was diagnosed with blood parasites and immediately put on a course of medication to treat this. The vets are monitoring him closely and he continues to make daily progress.

Oswald is a happy little boy, who enjoys having people fussing over him. He has a great appetite and loves nothing more than being fed by Dr Sai, although being cuddled comes a close second. Oswald has a long journey of recovery ahead and the vets are continuing their daily monitoring and treatment of this little man.

Blood parasites left untreated can have severe, and potentially fatal, consequences. Oswald would not be here were it not for the Emergency Response Team. Even if you do not live in Thailand, you can become a member of this life-saving group and help countless dogs and cats get the treatment they need.
