Traumatised Moppie Has Essential Surgery
Tweet |
Moppie arrived at the shelter having been brought in by the people caring for her. She had a broken hind leg after a road traffic accident. They had tried taking her to their local vet but couldn’t afford the cost of the surgery Moppie needed and so she was brought to Soi Dog.
Dr Eed admitted Moppie and earlier today performed surgery to amputate the injured leg, which was sadly beyond saving. Most three legged cats go on to live happy, fulfilling lives, no different than cats with four legs, and the vets are confident Moppie will be no exception. Moppie is now recovering from her surgery and on painkillers and antibiotics to reduce her discomfort and protect her from infection.
It is only thanks to the Emergency Response Team that we were able to provide Moppie with this treatment. Without this team of dedicated supporters, Moppie’s injury would have deteriorated and she may well have died. There are so many streets dogs and cats that need your help to survive. You can provide this help immediately by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html/?source=moppie-1-FBO and joining up today.
