Updates On 29th Mar 2014

Yesterday the coalition of 4 NGOs comprising WWF, MNS, TrEES and SOS Selangor together with a representative from the Residents’ Association of Tmn Melawati handed over more than 200 objection letters on the degazettement of forest reserves for the purpose of the construction of the KLORR to the State Forestry Dept as well as a petition signed by more than 7,000 Malaysians to the Selangor Menteri Besar’s office and to YB Elizabeth Wong’s office.

WWF-Malaysia also handed over our objection letter to the state Forestry Department yesterday and earlier in March we couriered more than 100 objection letters collected from some members of the public, staff and friends, directly to the State Forestry Department.
