Rover Is Rescued After Vicious Knife Attack

Rover was first spotted by the Soi Dog shelter manager one evening recently and she was certain that Rover had had been dumped and was needing urgent medical attention. The shelter manager, with the help of two local men, tried to catch Rover. She was clearly in a frightened state, but she eluded them by running off. The shelter manager was not ready to give up on poor Rover and the animal rescue officers were instructed to make finding this dog a top priority.

A couple of days later the shelter received a call from a man who had a bleeding dog running around in his yard. The man was asked to shut his gates to contain the dog. Animal rescue officer Khun Jaroon rushed to the scene and brought the dog back to the shelter where the shelter manager was relieved when she recognised Rover as being the dog she had tried so desperately to previously catch.

Rover was found to have a big wound on her shoulder, most like inflicted by someone with a knife. Vets immediately treated her wound and she will be closely monitored in the coming days to ensure she does not develop a life-threatening infection.
