AXEL IS MAKING SLOW PROGRESS

Hi, its Axel here. If you havent heard of me, you can read my original story at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.642476839127388.1073742498.108625789179165&type=3&uploaded=4

Life has been tough for me. I was once someones pet, but once I started having health problems and became blind, my owners did not want me anymore and dumped me out on the street. I was so scared being by myself and I couldnt find any food or water. I had just about given up hope when a lady saw me and called Soi Dog Foundation to come and get me. I have been staying in their clinic since I got here as I am not feeling very well.

When I came to Soi Dog, the vets looked at me and found lots of things that were making me feel sick. I was very skinny and dehydrated and had an infection. The vets gave me fluids and medicine immediately and I started to feel a bit better. Since I have been in the clinic I have started to eat a little bit of food, but the vets keep telling me to eat more as I need to put on some weight. I have been able to start getting a little bit of exercise, going out in the yard three times a day.

I am hoping that someday I will feel well enough to go and live in one of the runs with the other dogs, but the vets tell me I need to be patient. For now, I will do what they tell me to do and get as much rest as possible.

Only you can help dogs like Axel and give them a place to live in a safe environment with the best care possible. To help Thailands dogs and cats, please consider making a donation at: https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/
