Who Says You Can't Have Fun With Only Three Legs!

Hi, my name is Calypso. I believe my good friend Holly has told you about me, but if you havent heard of me, you can read what Holly had to say at (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.641823819192690.1073742494.108625789179165&type=1).

I came to the shelter from a local temple after being hit by a car. I was in so much pain and nobody helped me for two whole days until a nice security guard noticed I needed help. He told me to wait and then a man in a white truck came and took me to Soi Dog Foundation. The staff here sent me to have x-rays, which showed I had hip and leg fractures and they gave me an operation to try and fix my bones. Unfortunately there were problems after my operation, they say I had something called necrosis, which they told me means my leg was dying. I was very scared when they told me that because I only knew that dying meant something bad. The vets tried everything they could but they were not able to save my leg and they told me they would have to remove it. I was so worried about how I would cope without my leg, but they told me that dogs are able to get around just fine on three legs, so I had to trust them that everything would be alright.

I have now recovered from having my leg removed and to look at me now, you would think I only ever had three legs. I am now living in the puppy run with my best friend Holly and we love to play together and chase each other around the run. I may only have three legs, but I sure am fast. I dont like it much when Holly tries to steal my toys but aside from that she is a great friend to have. Holly tells me that the staff at Soi Dog are trying to find a home for her with a loving family. I think that sounds great and would really like one of those too. If you would like to give Calypso a home please see these links below. It is easier than you think to adopt a dog from Thailand. http://www.soidog.org/en/adoptions/adoption-costs/ and having reviewed the information above please fill out our adoption questionnaire at: http://www.soidog.org/en/adoptions/adoption-questionnaire/
