OLD BLIND DOG BEATEN IN PHUKETS BUSIEST TOURIST STREET

Coco was rescued from the infamous Soi Bangla in Patong, undoubtedly Phukets busiest tourist street, lined as it is with hundreds of bars and discos. Coco who locals think is probably 17 years old has lived his entire life outside the same bar where the owner would feed him. An Australian tourist called us though to report that she had witnessed the dog being viciously kicked by a man. SDF rescue officer Khun Sanae went to Soi Bangla and found Coco. The bar owner confirmed there was a local man who would kick Coco whenever he passed, and she also advised that she was worried about Coco, as was now blind and kept wondering into the road and bumping into people which was probably what had annoyed the man. In addition during the day vehicles are allowed to use the road and she feared he would be knocked down. The owner and other local people readily agreed for Khun Sanae to take CoCo to Soi Dog where he will spend the remainder of his life in our old dogs run. Our vets believe he can see shadows so not totally blind. He is a bit overweight and will be put on a low calorie diet!

Only you can help save dogs like Coco who is a lovely dog and provide them with a safe place to live during their twilight years. Please consider sponsoring CoCo by going to the link below and simply clicking on his photo.
