Sisters Mariko and Yukio arrived at the Soi Dog Foundation shelter after being found dumped at the front entrance of the Thai-Swiss Foundation, an orphanage located in Phuket. While healthy, at only approximately 7 weeks of age, their hopes of survival on their own would have been slim. They would have struggled to find food on their own without their mother to teach them and we hate to think what would have become of them.

Mariko and Yukio�s story highlights the importance of Soi Dogs Spay and Neuter program. By sterilising the islands dogs the number of cases like this is decreasing saving puppies like Mariko and Yukio suffering death, disease and starvation.
