HEROLATEST NEWS.

For anybody not familiar with Hero, the original story here. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.618359681539104.1073742368.108625789179165&type=1

Pleased to report that Hero continues to improve. Blood tests carried out friday afternoon show that his liver function is now normal and his very high white blood cell count although still high has reduced by 10%. High white blood cells indicate infection and when off the scale septicemia.

He did have diarrhea on Wednesday and tested positive to coronavirus so have to keep separated, but this is not serious and feces were normal today. An eye infection has also cleared up. He continues to eat very well and is putting weight on.

Smaller puncture wounds have healed and new granulation tissue growth on larger wounds is going well and larger knife wounds are being dressed now with honey and cleaned and changed once per day. Dr. Eed who is currently treating Hero has had great results using honey. If interested a good article here. http://www.evet.dk/files/Honey%20for%20Wound%20Care%202.pdf

Drug treatment has changed to treating the blood parasites and giving skin and blood support.

Apologies if this all sounds very technical but is positive news. He is currently not considered the most serious case currently in the clinic, although is still cause for concern as is vulnerable to other infections.

To help Hero and many others to continue their recovery, please consider becoming one of our sponsors who make all of this possible.
