Feast your eyes on this special photo album that illustrates the extraordinary bond the dog and cat orphans of Romania and the people who rescue them.

It�s incredible to see these dogs melt into the arms of the people who save them. These moments of light, the sheer love between the dogs and their rescuers, far exceeds the darkness they seek to overcome as corrupt forces within the Romanian government have launched an extermination campaign of unspeakable vigilante killing of street dogs.

We at the Harmony Fund are determined to see to it that the animals who make it to these rescue centers find all the comfort and care they long for. Some of the rescuers here are extremely poor. A few of the centers we’re sponsoring have no electricity and barely enough food for the people who look after the animals. There are women sleeping on a bare floor, others in tents. Not even a mattress or a blanket. It simply isn’t right.

We’re asking for donations today to care for the animals here and to provide basic supplies for the people who watch over them all year long. With your help, we’re turning things around in the most remarkable ways.
