If You Choose To Raise Your Own Funds

This is a gentle reminder to all applicants to please read our policies before you apply for a subsidy:http://myanimalcare.org/subsidy/
We wish to draw your attention specifically to No. 3 and the parts in red.
Our funds are NOT open to:
1. pet-owners who apply for their pets
2. animal welfare organisations, groups, shelters and their key members
3. animal caregivers who have the means to raise/source their own funds
If you are going to raise funds or have already raised/received funds from other sources*, kindly disclose this fact in your communication with us and on the form.In such cases, the subsidy amount may be revised accordingly or we may not subsidise at all. Failure to disclose this fact amounts to dishonesty and you may be barred from receiving help from us.
*Other sources of funds:PetFinder, SCRATCH, KLPooch, MDDB, SPCA, Facebook, other social media, friends, family, etc.
We ask that you abide by all our policy requirements so that we may establish a relationship of trust and goodwill which goes a long way. This also protects the credibility of animal charity.
If you intend to raise your own funds by other means, we applaud your efforts but we request that you disclose this fact when communicating with us. Very importantly, we do not want multiplicity of claims to happen as that would not augur well for animal charity.
We have noticed that lately, quite a significant number of individual rescuers have publicised their work through the social media like Facebook and have appealed for funds through this media. Facebook links are forwarded and shared and in no time, it goes viral, literally, out to the whole world. Hence, it comes as no surprise that donations are quite easily obtained through this channel. If applicants wish to use this channel to raise funds, they would not need to apply for our funds anymore. Please let us channel our funds to rescuers who are truly financially needy and those who prefer not to make public appeals for funds.
Also, please be informed that our medical subsidy is only 50% subject to our policy requirements. Our contention is that rescuers and caregivers must also have some funds of their own before embarking on rescue and caregiving work. Hence, we can only share the bill with you and not sponsor your work in full (unless our readers wish to donate extra funds for any particular case).
We hope applicants appreciate the fact that our donations are hard-earned, so please help us ensure that these funds that come fromwell-wishers with good and kind intentions are put to good and justifiable use for the animals.
In short, please do not practise multiple claiming.
We also request the help of all readers to alert us if any case publicised by us has also received funds from other sources (especially through Facebook, other organisations or individuals).
Let us work together to preserve the credibility and integrity of animal charity.
Thank you.
