“We break each bale and make it about 14 long by 2 feet high and then add into that the survival ration which is a mixture of cane, cotton seed, molasses, salt and horse cubes.”

This month we’re helping to save the herds here at Hippo Haven in Zimbabwe. Low rainfall has turned most of the green landscape here to dust. In order to protect the grazing animals here from utter starvation, nearly a TON of hay and other goodies are served each evening to keep them alive.
