A �Ghost-Busting� We Go!

News of phantom voters coming in by the busloads came trickling in. We thought we should go around the polling stations in our township and see if there was a need for “ghost-busting” activities.

But what we saw at all the polling stations was a very reassuring and touching sight.

�In each station, we saw a team of Malaysians, young and old (but more of the younger generation) keeping watch.

We stopped at one of these stations and asked if they were phantom voter-busters and they said “Yes”, with gusto!

There was a big team of phantom voter-busters at another station very near our house, so we joined in the bandwagon. This team consisted mostly of the older generation and I was told it was a group of ladies who highlighted the need for the phantom voter-busting team. The ladies alerted the men, and everyone came in full force, with one heart.

There is hope for Malaysia, folks. We are all in one spirit. One heart. Regardless of age.

If we want to complain and lament, we can say, “Gosh, look at how little confidence we have in the system, we, the people have to do the policing ourselves.” But if we choose to stay positive and pro-active, we say: “We’ll do whatever it takes to ensure that good triumphs over evil. We are glad and proud to do it ourselves! People power!!”

Choose the positive, folks! Negativity never gets us anywhere at all.

�Waiting for the ghosts to come…

We communicated with our other friends who were keeping guard-watch at another station. A big bus was purported to have gone to this station and a team of concerned citizens were there on guard, men and women.

Meanwhile, over at another centre…

Sir? Please let the cat vote!!

We came home after the station closed, and little did we know, we had to do another round of “guard duty”.
