This is a serious case of TVT. She was admitted to the vet last night with bleeding, foul smell, lethargic and totally dehydrated. After the vet did a check on her, he actually advise the dog to be put down as her wound was infested with maggots and her condition was very bad.

However, rescuer insist of giving her a second chance and thus beg the vet to do the best he could to save her. With that, the vet had set out to give the best medication they have to firstly boost up her immune system. Blood was taken to be tested and result is expected to be out next week. And as she was very dehydrated, she was put on drips the whole of last night.

She did look a bit better today and has been eating on her own, with vet feeding her a/d 3 times a day and giving her vitamin jabs to boost up her immune system. Her medical bill for last night itself cost RM400 and with all the vitamin jabs and medication required, the vet has estimate her daily cost to be around RM90, until she is stronger.

SPCA Seberang Perai

The SPCA Seberang Perai is a society registered in September 2005. Our primary aim is to reduce the population of stray animals or possibly a zero stray population in a humane manner. With lesser strays or no strays at all, the loving value of animals will be greatly increased and you can be sure that humans will shower more love for their pets and be responsible pet owners. The problem should not only be shouldered by our Society as the public must also understand the urgent need to control the pet population and give their whole-hearted support to all our projects for the undertaking to be successful. Then we will achieve a clean and hygienic environment for the community. As a no killing organization, we are embarking on a two-prong approach towards the problem i.e public education and sterilization of the stray animals.
