Hi Kah Yein,

Brought Little Blacktail to the vet past Friday right after work for a follow up on his progress. Doctor has given a thumbs up for his condition and we need only to continue with the Sporanox for another 7 days. I am glad everything turns out well. To those out there who are still in the midst of treating your pet/rescue for Sporotrichosis, don’t give up, look forward to the next day as every new day that comes would only bring further recovery. And eventually they will be a OK.
Regards,
Yoke Mei

Hi there Kah Yein,

I have good news to share. Took Little Blacktail to the Vet last Friday right after work for a follow up consultation. Dr gave the thumbs up and told me to continue with Sporanox for another 1 week only. After that, Little Blacktail will be released back to the backlane into the community. Though i would always worry for him, he was born a stray, and i can’t afford to take in anymore cats. He will remain as a community cat and will be neutered when the time comes.
By the way, Little Blacktail will be up for adoption once we stop his medication. If there are anyone who would like

to give him a loving home, do drop me a message atyokemei76@gmail.com. He is a very sweet boy and would always roll over at your feet and rub against your leg whenever he has the chance. He will follow you everywhere you go. A very sweet and “manja” boy. I really hope he can go to a forever home and a loving family to call his own.

Today, i took some pics of how i feed the Sporanox to Little Blacktail. It’s pretty easy for me as he loves his food. He eats them as if he has not eaten for days. To feed the medication, i use some of the can food, which are normally very yummy to cover the taste of the medication. I would only be giving him around 1 teaspoon (nothing more) so that i will leave him craving for more “yummy can food” the following day. This ensures that he laps up every single bit of the medicine. I would normally sprinkle the Sporanox on the food and give it to him just like that. You would see from the picture, that he would lick everything in less than 30 seconds. Following that, i would serve him his “main course” which is the normal kibbles.
Tried to take quality pictures but he kept moving around, and i hate using the flash on them, so some of the pics may be blurred. So, i decided to take short videos so that things are clearer.
Thanks Kah Yein for sharing Little Blacktail’s story.
Regards,
Yoke Mei

Soft food with Sporonox…a hungry and greedy cat makes it so much easier!

Lapping up the yummy food.

Yummy food gone within seconds!

Less yummy kibbles.

Kibbles is still the main course.

Holding him down to take this picture. Had run out of rubber gloves, so had to use plastic gloves (not recommended).

I’m a happy little cat!

Would you like to adopt me?
