She is Melody, a cute and lovely dog.
On a rainy afternoon, we received phone call from a kind-hearted girl’s to tell us that when she is driving through, she found a dog running in and out at the middle of the road and the forefoot also were injured!!
When we arrived at the scene, Melody in roadside waiting under the pouring rain! Is she waiting for someone to bring her out of the misery or still waiting for the owner to take her home? We believe that Melody was abandoned by her owner!
Although Melody’s foot was injured, but when she saw we opened the door, she walking towards us with a limping legs! Poor Melody looks very hungry, when we feed her with dog food she gobbled all them immediately, believe she has not eaten for a long time! Which we observe her foot found out there is severe ulceration and also full of maggots! We believed that she has been injured for some time!

Melody is still at the veterinary clinic for treatment; please help Melody for her to have hope for the future. Her medical costs are huge and it needs generosity of everyone, please let Melody has a new life of hope! Thank you!!

Homeless & Orphan Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter that aims to improve welfare of strays and abandoned pets around Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
