The Kasih Dogs In Pet Therapy

We often hear of good things happening to the street dogs and cats in other countries and lament why it isn’t happening in ours. For example, in the previous post, we hear of Romania using street dogs to help in road safety campaigns and how their court ruled against euthanising stray animals. Why can’t we have that too in our country?
Sometimes, if we want to see a difference, we have tomakethat difference ourselves, and not wait for someone else to do it.
Every individual can make a difference, even in a small way, because every effort in helping street animals can make a big difference to the whole community in the long run, especially if it is by example, not just talk.
Take a look at this:
Dear Volunteers & Friends of Kasih,
Know of anyone requiring Pet Therapy? There is growing medical data to show the positive impact of human-animal interaction, especially in areas of improving moods and communication. The Kasih Dogs are kept clean & healthy and will be accompanied by handlers to visit patients or persons showing signs of depression needing cheering up. The dogs don’t do tricks but are gentle companions to those in need. If you know of someone needing this service, call KHC Office!
If anyone would like to train to be a future handler of the Kasih Dogs, let us have your name, mobile and email contacts! We welcome a committed team of pet therapy dog handlers.
Regards,
Kasih Hospice Care Society
