Clarification On A Facebook Entry

It was brought to my attention on Saturday (24th November 2012), by a friend, that my name had been posted up on MDDB’s Facebook page, suggesting me as a nominee for a councilor position.

Since then, I had written in twice requesting my name to be removed as (1) my name was nominated without my knowledge (as clearly stated in the post); (2) I definitely have no interest in vying of any such post! (3) I have received a number of queries from our readers asking if indeed I was interested in the position and this is causing much embarrassment on my end. Hence, this clarification is needed.

However, Wani has replied today that she would prefer the post not to be removed as she wants to preserve the comments, but she would instead write another post suggesting another candidate for the councilor position. I would truly appreciate this very much – thank you. I hope it can be done as soon as possible to avoid further misunderstandings on my end.

To all readers who have written to me since Saturday to enquire if I was ever aware of the Facebook entry, I thank you very much for writing and informing me (otherwise, I would not have known about it!), and I wish to clarify that I had no knowledge of the post and I definitely do not wish to vie for any such position. Running AnimalCare is all I want to do and is all I can do with my limited time and energy!
