My name is Bisto & I grew up on the streets of Phuket. I often get hungry & go to local restaurants where nice people sometimes feed me leftovers. On Friday I was very hungry & could smell food cooking so I followed my nose, hoping that someone might give me a little rice. Instead the people shouted at me & poured boiling water over my neck. I was in so much pain, I screamed for hours & wondered why these people were so mean to me. I ran around the road whilst they chased me trying to kill me. I was so scared & my neck hurt so much I was crying loudly.

A kind person called Soi Dog & their truck arrived to pick me up. I am now in the clinic & the vets are looking after my wound which still hurts very much. Gill & Max from the office gave me big cuddles on arrival & told me to be brave. I liked their cuddles & it made me feel like someone cared about me. They also told me that there are lots of nice people around the world who might want to “sponsor” me. I don’t know what that means, but I think it might help me to get better.
