Wesak Eve At The SJBA The Kuehs Sold Out!
We started our booth at about 7.15pm – that’s Winnie, Me, Szetoo Weiwen and her husband, George.
I guess food always sells in Malaysia? We sold out!!
A young girl came by and looked at the books. George said she could take any book she liked. She looked a bit shy, ran off to her mother, asked something, and happily ran back and asked if she could take a copy of Pawprints, with her mum accompanying her. We figured she wanted to ask permission from her mum first. Then, she said “thank you” and ran off to her mum again, said something and came back with a donation. She smiled a shy little “thank you” and ran off again.
Now, isn’t that absolutely heart-warming? Wish they made more children like that these days!
As usual, the tshirts started selling after the night’s prayers when people were on their way out. For this crowd, the Equation sold the most because most of them had already bought the other designs in previous years.
A loyal supporter!
Thank you very much, Winnie, Weiwen and George, for helping out and staying till past midnight.
By the time I got home, it was past 12.30am.
By the time I finished checking and replenishing stock, it was 2.00am!
Now, I’m off again.
Do drop in and support our work.
