Dog Bites Dog
Tweet |
Yesterday I was showing a potential adopter some puppies from one of the kennels, suddenly Brownie and Rebecca started a fight, right in front of us.
Brownie was chasing Rebecca around , behind and under the cages. I threw the pups which I was holding back into the cage and quickly ran and tried to pull Brownie away from Rebecca, whose hind leg was already being grapped.
Brownie’s grap at Rebecca’s leg was very strong and I could not pull him out of his hard bite. I used hose water to splash at his head but also to no avail. It was dangerous to touch dogs in the midst of a fierce fight with hands but I had no choice. I grapped both Brownie ‘s hind legs and pulled and it was after a few more seconds before he let go of his bite.
Brownie, the aggresor |
Put in cage after the fight |
Bleeding and Bleeding. |
Looking at the pool of blood on the floor, I thought Rebecca was badly injured but upon checking, she suffered no injuries and no bleeding, so the blood must be from Brownie who seemed to be the aggresor, sure enough, his front right leg was wounded and bled badly. Brownie was bitten by Rebecca?? How could it be possible because Rebecca is always very timid and always hides under cages.
And I did not even know what sparked the fierce fight between a timid female and a normally very friendly male dog.
Rebecca not injured at all |
Rebecca, happy it was all over |
The potential adopter was shock at this dog fight . He decided to postpone adopting a pup.
