To SEBERANG PRAI Animal Lovers:

Pertaining to the instant killing of stray puppies in Seberang Prai by local council, Majlis Perbandaran Seberang Perai (MPSP) has responded that there is no pound available and SPCA Seberang Perai’s shelter is full, so strays are to be put to sleep on the spot.

MPSP and SPCA SP are working to establish an extended shelter in the months to come. However, the instant killing of stray dogs & pups would likely continue until such a facility is ready.

At the meantime, we STRONGLY URGE animal lovers and rescuers there to temporarily foster the strays as it would mean certain death if they are caught.
